Ah they're no match!
I recommend FFX, simply because the older ones are outdated a bit and X is simply great, once you're into the series you'll then appreciate the older ones despite the dodgier graphics

First?

I'd recommend VII, as it was the first one I played, and the one that made me fall in love with the series.

They're all good though, so start with whichever one you can pick up cheapest!

One of the advantages of horses that people sometimes point out, is that they very seldom explode. Almost never, in my experience, apart from that unfortunate occurence in the hot summer a few years ago.

Dude, you always have games in weird places. Was it you who had the games on your iPod?

VII I think was probably the best in the series,it was also the game that brought me into the whole final Fantasy series. And being a game i still play is definately a classic

I think X got the biggest emotional response from me (even with the awful voice acting by tidus) :( ,sad endings are great (X-2 doesn NOT exist).

VIII was good if a little bit easy,IX was different but also really good (better than VIII methinks).

IV and V were pretty decent The whole going to the moon thing in IV was cool.VI is amazing,id recommend it to all ff fans.

I havent played I,II or III but im sure theyr good.

XI was not a real game and XII was a discrace (no character development and terrible musical score).

Hopefully XIII will be good though i dont look forward to having to buy a PS3.

Hey, what happened between me and your mother is an issue entirely between the two of us! :P

But, anyways. FF is a fantastic series. I particularly enjoyed FF VII and FF X - I... They really stick out for me. Oh, and ofcourse the originals, which I played on an emulator a long time ago ^^

That's very true. The ending to FFX Was awesome.

I thought the music for X was fantastic as well, that riff that plays when you're fighting Jecht is awesome!

That last boss was an absolute joke though. That little pink spidery thing.

Zombie+Phoenix Down = Pwned!

I agree with XII not being too hot too, although I think that's more of a personal preference. I personally enjoyed it while I played it, but I then realised there was no sort of attachment to the characters, and very little in the way of character/plot development. Not really what you'd want from an RPG.

Although that's just one mans opinion!

Do you have a tab for the Jecht song? Or is it available on UG?

The only FF music I ever learnt on guitar were the Aerith theme tune, the FFVII battle music (duh-duh-duh-DAH! duh-duh-duh-DAH!), and Another FFVII one I think it was called Prayer of the planet or universe or something. The kind of epic one i remember played on board the Highwind when Cloud was recovered from his trip through the Lifestream, and was explaining everything to the rest of the crew.

I started playing the FF series when i was like 10. I got introduced to FF7 and ive played them ever since. I love FF7 the most cause of the storyline and i guess because it was the first one i played. But i think i might go revisit FF10

I'll have to hunt it down then!

I also remember playing the Cosmo Canyon theme as an intro for my band once!

I think I might have to re-adopt that to use in the same way that Metallica use "The Ecstasy Of Gold"
