Ha, I was gonna say Cannibal Corpse too but since you already said I'm gonna go with either,
The Beatles because of their whole "bigger than Jesus" fiasco and the fact that a lot of people hated them for their constant anti-war activism, drug use ,their appearance and apparently they created a very anti-American feeling in England. Elvis Presley actually went as fas to try and ban them from the United States xD
Secondly I'm gonna go with Marilyn Manson for obvious reasons; anti-religious, lyrics, appearance and apparently he caused the Columbine School Shootings
and finally, most death metal because for some reason people think that Death Metal is only Gory and Satanic lyrics that causes people to act violent

^Crazy stuff indeed, but I know if their controversial. I certainly haven't heard about them doing anything besides making killer music with awesome song titles.
