Punk, metal, industrial, some folk and indie, some hip hop/rap.

I reccomend the following:

Punk: SNFU, Misfits, The Addicts.
Metal: Otep, Opeth, Samhain, Behemoth, Down.
Industrial: Ministry, Skinny Puppy, KMFDM.
Folk/Indie: Joanna Newsom
Hip-hop/Rap: M.I.A

And Mindless Self Indulgence, they fall under all the categories except techno.

Well I've got four favourite genres (but they only JUST stand above the others I like, I started saying 2, then realised there was another, and then a fourth, I expect I'll think of more as I'm typing but I'm committed to 4 now :p)

Anyway yes
Death Metal - Bloodbath, Daath stuff like that I recommend
Power Metal - Sonata Arctica, Symphony X, Turisas etc
Folk Music - Seth Lakeman <3, Tir na nOg, and Folkmetal too, stuff like Korpiklaani

andddddd Black Metal! My biggest passion
I'm talking Marduk, Hexenkreis, Grand Belials Key, Arkhon Infaustus, Naglfar, early Ulver, early Behemoth, Emperor etc but best of all, and I recommend to any BM Fan
DEATHSPELL OMEGA *creams*

By fuck I love 'em!

So yeah
That's about it...plus symphonic metal, some bluesy stuff, classic rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, etc etc

I'm into pretty much everything these days, although I don't really like Pop, Techno (Electronica is ok though) and alot of Rap these days, old stuff is good.

I'll second that. Most rap these days is all about bling and hos.

It has none of the social commentary, or connection with the "people" it used to have

They're ruddy amazing black metal

I swear the only two things the French have EVER gotten right are croissants and black metal
DO prove that...especially if you eat croissants while listening!

If you get a few songs, get Inquisitors of Satan, Carnal Malefactor (mainly for the Gregorian Chant interlude which ends mid-chant and goes ruddy insane) and actually anything, probably better off getting stuff off either Fas or Si Monumentum (the latest two albums)

I used to have 150Gb, then my external broke, but a lot of it was rubbish, now I'm upto 60Gb and the stuff I'm looking for is too hard to find (as in it's not on Demonoid and I'm too lazy to search PirateBay and/or use rapidshare, since the waiting times are absurd and I'm lazy XD)
