Ok so I saw this youtube video about how to make a homemade talkbox for about 10 bucks. And it doesn't sound that bad for 10 bucks. All you need is a toilet plunger head, a plumbing cap, a single speaker cone, some wire, soldering iron/solder, and some vinyl tubing. The only thing is, I suck with electronics and I don't know how to hook it all up. Does anyone know how I would go about doing that?

that seemed to pretty much explain it all and there's no wiring involved. only downside is that you have to have a working speaker instead of just a speaker cone. i think it should work though.

Is that Moot Booxle's video? Cause I watched it already. What I wanted to know was what to plug in where. Such as what do I plug the guitar into, or what does the powerd speaker get plugged into? I think it goes like this:

Guitar-->Amp-->powered speaker-->placed by microphone-->mic goes to PA.

is that it?

um ok let's see

guitar->amp->speaker->tube->mouth->microphone->mic goes to PA

that's how i understand it atleast

u just need a line out or something from your amp to go to the powered speaker...i'm not sure if it would work going from an amp to like a computer speaker though...the speaker might explode...i don't think they're made to handle that much power...i think that's why the guy in the video just uses a synth

but yea you shouldn't have to do any soldering if you have a line out on your amp, you'd just need an adapter for your speaker's 1/8" jack so it can hook up directly to your 1/4" jack on your amp if you have one.
