While randomly stumbling through IMDB (Internet Movie Database - LINK if you've never been there) I discovered that alot of videogames are going to possibly be made into films within the next few years or so including some of the following (Format: Game - [Proposed Release Date] - IMDB Link):

Splinter Cell - [Possibly in 2010] - LINK

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - [Possibly 10 July, 2009] - LINK

Metal Gear Solid - [Possibly in 2009] - LINK

Alice (Based on 'American McGee's Alice') - [Possibly July, 2008] - LINK

Halo - [Possibly 2009] - LINK

Spyro the Dragon - [Possibly 2009] - LINK

Driver - [Possibly 2009] - LINK

Mortal Kombat (A re-make?) - [Possibly 2010] - LINK

Tekken - [Possibly 2009] - LINK

Castlevania - [Possibly 2009] - LINK

Cold Fear - [Possibly 2008] - LINK

Far Cry - [Announced for 2008] - LINK

Max Payne - [Possibly 2010] - LINK

And I'm sure many more will be announced within the next few years too.

Some of them sound awesome, I can't wait to see them, if they get released that is...

What do you guys think?

American McGees Alice could be an AWESOME movie. That game was absolutely brilliant, and was already bent to a story, so ideal for translation to a movie!
One of the advantages of horses that people sometimes point out, is that they very seldom explode. Almost never, in my experience, apart from that unfortunate occurence in the hot summer a few years ago.

Driver could be a decent action film.

And I'd go to see Tekken, I love those games.

I say they should make Killzone into a movie. Imagine that? That would be so fucking sick.

I can't see Tekken translating into a movie well, it'd probably turn out like that crappy live-action Street Fighter thing.

Although there is an anime Tekken movie floating around somewhere. I remember seeing it available a few years ago. No wait, many years ago.
