anyone here into any rap?


some of my fav. songs which feature rap (in no particular order) are:
(out of the more modern stuff, 2000 onwards)

"convict colony" saul williams

"fortress europe" asian dub foundation
"superstar" styles of beyond
"eurobiks" styles of beyond
"march of death" zack de la rocha
"second to none" styles of beyond feat. mike shinoda
"remember the name" fort minor

I only like rap when I'm drunk and at a dance party.

im only really into a small amount. most if it is just pathetic. however theres also some pretty talented stuff there

Yea like for some reason, I find Jay Z's stuff catchy. Kinda gay, but catchy.

edit: and he's one of the few non-sellouts.

andre 3000 and jay z. and some old skool stuff since it's not quite so sold out.

but not really into rap.

Well you guys should check out some of the more underground artists like:

Atmosphere (slug), Eyedea and Abilities (Eyedea), Sage Francis and Brother Ali.

Fort Minor is awesome tho.

M.I.A is hella good.

Dude, Jay-Z is like the definition of commercialized rap.

Anyway, my favorite rapper of all time is Del Tha Funkee Homosapien.

Yeah, I'm not saying he's bad, 99 Problems is a great party song.

the only rap group/artist i like is NWA

And lately I've been listening to a lot of electronic music that could be used as a backdrop for hip-hop...

Yeah, I'm trying to find that Beatles/Jay-Z album he did. The Grey Album. I can find it nowhere. Because honestly, I'm getting more and more into the electronic music thing as each day comes. I still don't like that Aphex Twin guy, though.. I think his electronic music is boring.
