The SCRUBS Thread!

Postby metacarpi on Tue Oct 30, 2007 6:31 pm

Kinda inspired by the Seinfeld thread, I thought I'd open up a thread based on everybodies favourite programme set in a hospital!

No, not Casualty or ER!

Anyways, feel free to share favourtie episodes, favourite characters, favourite lines/quotes etc etc

My personal favourite episode is from season 5. It's called My Lunch, and it's the one with the overdose/rabies mix up, resulting in three patients receiving organs infected with Rabies, causing them to die.

The finally patient to die (Davey Bradford I think he was called), had become friends with Dr.Cox, and when he dies, it finally causes Dr. Cox to freak out. The next episode deals with the fall out from this.

This episode is a real "tear-jerker" episode, and (along with it's appearance on Grays Anatomy) probably where The Fray song "How To Save A Life" gained notoriety!

Anyways, my favourite character doesn't actually exist in the show. Well, that's not strictly true!

My favourite character would be a combination of The Janitor, Dr. Cox, and J.D.

My favourite line is probably one where Dr. Cox asks J.D. is he feels like a sandwich. When J.D. says yes, he grabs his "love-handles" and says "you feel more like a pastry to me, a very doughy pastry!"

Gotta love this show......
One of the advantages of horses that people sometimes point out, is that they very seldom explode. Almost never, in my experience, apart from that unfortunate occurence in the hot summer a few years ago.

A scrubs... What a master piece of a show... My favourite episode is probably the one where the Janitor is pretending to be different people to different parts of the hospital staff. It had me in stitches the first time I saw it. I can't really decide on a favourite character, I like them all a lot.

I've got seasons 3 and 4 on DVD, I'm soon to purchase season 5.

I think as soon as I do I'm going to have an "all dayer/all nighter" Scrubs marathon! Complete with Scrubs based drinking games!

Happy times!

:D

My Lunch is a horribly tear jerking episode. So is the episode where Ben (Cox's best friend) dies.

Not as bad as getting one at a funeral.

That's really bad unless you want everyone to know that the cadavers not the only stiffy
